Our Inspiration

Lynne’s Legacy Run includes a 10k run, 5k run, 2.5k walk, and a 1k kids run. The inspiration behind this charity race in Hamilton derives from Lynne’s legacy. Lynne was a lifelong, avid runner who volunteered and worked with Reach Forth from the age of 16. In December 2009, Lynne was diagnosed with a rare, terminal form of biliary cancer, intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, receiving treatment at the Juravinski Cancer Centre.

Lynne knew what it meant to live intentionally, with hope and faith, and she used the last years of her life to challenge others to live with a purpose, living and leaving a legacy now, as they shape what their #legacyis.
